Shasta Regional Transportation Agency

The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Shasta County, representing the cities of Anderson, Redding, and Shasta Lake; Shasta County; and the Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA). Located in California's North State at the crossroads of major transportation routes, Shasta County spans 3,785 square miles and is home to approximately 182,000 residents, with 80% residing in the urbanized south-central area near the I-5 corridor. The county's rural character and diverse geography make it a hub for recreation and tourism. SRTA collaborates with various stakeholders to develop and update the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) to address the region’s unique transportation needs.

Shasta Planning Data Dashboard

SRTA, in collaboration with its partners, is tasked with developing and updating the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), but current data processes are disjointed and time-intensive, lacking a streamlined system for performance reporting and public transparency. To address this, SRTA aims to create a modern data analytics dashboard that enables interactive analysis, visualization, and scenario planning.
